A vegan in London… Where to shop & eat

Here is a list of my most recent ‘tried-and-tested’ vegan restaurants in London:

Cook Daily – BOXPARK, Shoreditch

cook daily

If you’re in Shoreditch and looking for an informal setting for great food and drink look no further than BoxPark. Made up of old shipping containers it serves as a pop-up mall for independent fashion and lifestyle stores and cafes. Cook Daily serves a small menu of freshly made curries, salads and healthy stir fry dishes full of veggies.

2-4 Bethnal Green Rd, London, E1 6GY

Campbell’s Canal Café, Camden Town

Formerly the much loved Inspiral restaurant that overlooks Camden Lock has been renamed to Campbell’s Canal Café. However, the interior and menu are fairly indistinguishable with even most of the same staff from Inspiral. I recommend checking out their vegan fish and chips or lasagne.

 250 Camden High St, London NW1 8QS

Loving Hut, Edgware

If you have a craving for authentic Chinese food look no further. Lemon chicken, duck pancakes, sesame prawn toast… all vegan! They do a buffet during the day for lunch and table service in the evenings.

236 Station Rd, Edgware HA8 7AU

Vantra Vitao, Tottenham Court Road

If you are in central make sure to check out this vegan diner offering a varied menu of organic, macrobiotic and raw global dishes, plus lunch buffet. Everything is raw, a little pricey, but worth it!

GreenBay Supermarket, Fulham

Very exciting news comes in the form of London’s very first vegan supermarket!! GreenBay have a simple, ethical ethos:

“Here at Greenbay, we know how important health and wellbeing is to our customers, and that great food means different things to different people. Our store is brimming with fresh food to go, from locally sourced greens to purely indulgent desserts. We make it easy to create wholesome, energizing food for you to savour. And it’s not just about food, our eco household range and body care products are free of animal ingredients and testing, making us the one-stop destination for all your living needs.

Community is at the heart of everything we do too, and by building strong relationships we are able source and stock the most exciting local food brands.”
